Some losses get a funeral. Most don’t.
Your son stops reaching for your hand, and you don’t know when it was the last time. A marriage ends. The job you gave twenty years to is gone. Your body changes. I call these everyday deaths. No one marks them, so most people keep going and tell everyone they’re fine.
They aren’t. The loss gets buried, and it doesn’t stay buried. It comes out as anger or as a numbness you can’t explain. Or you just don’t feel like yourself anymore.
I’m trained in Jungian psychology, and I spent years as an end-of-life doula, sitting with people as they died. In our sessions, we go back for what you buried. We find where it started and deal with it. You get your power back.
